Why Hire a Tile Saw?

What can it cut?

We throw away the cheap blade the saw comes with when we buy them and fit a high quality blade that will cut:

  • Ceramic & Brick (to max 50mm thick)
  • Porcelean
  • Stone – Marble, Sandstone

What it won’t

  • Bricks and concrete pavers – use a bricksaw.
  • Bevels and Mitres?

AND it’ll cut bevels, mitres and straight cuts on nearly all tiles. The cheap blades are fine on simple cuts on most tiles – but become a bit hit and miss once the cut or tile becomes a bit more complicated.

Hire a tile saw for perfect cuts on big tiles.
These great quality saws are used by professional tilers – and are easy to use for a DIY job.
You can hire a cheaper tile saw elsewhere – and some are even the same brand. But many are smaller units with cheaper continuous rim blades that don’t do the job professionals are after. So we invested in larger Tile Saws with high quality blades so you get your job done properly the first time – and not break tiles trying.

    Trouble shooting

    The blade is blunt!
No it’s not (unless there’s no diamond on the blade).
It has probably “glazed” – ie the blade has been used without water (or enough water) and due to excessive heat the diamond is no longer exposed – and so it’s trying to cut with the compund the diamond is embedded in rather than the diamond.
