Plaster Sander Hire. Ceiling Sander Hire. Drywall Sander Hire

Whatever you call the tool you use to sand a plaster ceiling, it’s tedious and hard work – and your arms are never long enough and the plaster falls in your face.

A ceiling sander hire - or a giraffe sander - will sand drywall and plaster sheets while standing on the ground.
Connected to a vacuum the plaster dust will end up in a bag for easy disposal.

Why use a plaster sander?

A plaster sander is designed specifically for sanding plaster walls and ceilings to give an ideal surface for painting or wallpapering.

The sander has a soft velcro head which holds the sand paper disks – it’s quick and easy to change sandpaper.

Attach the vaccum and the plaster dust is removed through the sanding head and the handle for collection and easy disposal through the sander handle.

We don’t recommend using these without a vacuum – we only offer the option as some tradespeople have their own vacuum.

They have a long extendable neck (which is why they’re often called Giraffe sanders) that’ll reach ceilings up to 3m high so sanding walls and ceilings is quicker and easier than sanding by hand using an orbital or hand sander. And you don’t need to stand on a ladder or scaffold – so with your feet firmly on the ground there’s nothing to fall off.

This results in a smooth, polished surface. It gives you the ideal surface for painting, plastering, or wallpapering, as everything should be smooth and with no lumps.

Our plaster sander hire is designed to sand large surfaces. This will help save time and energy when sanding an entire wall.

Our long-neck drywall sanders, allowing you to reach the entire wall without the need to stretch or hire scaffolding/use ladders – and they’re lightweight (just 3.8kg) so can be used for extended periods without wearing you out.

And they have a swivelling head so they’re easy to keep flat against the plaster.

Compared to a regular pole sander, you will not need to apply as much pressure onto the wall and a drywall sander simply has to be glided along the surface.

You can hire a drywall sander from Better Rentals complete with vacuum for dust collection – so the plaster dust doesn’t fall in your face.

And you can be sure both the plaster sander and vacuum are the best quality professional units available – and with rates that are fair.
