Low Hour Tile Saws and Cutters

We change the blades and cutting disks long before they've reached their use by date.

How to get the best value from your tile saw hire.

Straight cuts, bevels and mitres are easy to achieve when you hire tile saw from Better Rentals for both our DIY and trade customers.

Of course there’s a few hints that’ll help you achieve a better job.

The Blade is blunt!

No it’s not – well not unless the diamond has been totally worn away.
Using the wet tile saw without water means the diamond blade will “glaze” over as the compound holding the diamond heats up and then covers the diamond.
So, use water and keep the blade cool.

What can a tile saw cut?

Ceramic (to max 50mm thick)
Porcelean
Stone – Marble, Sandstone

Bevels and Mitres?

AND it’ll cut bevels, mitres and straight cuts on nearly all tiles. The cheap blades are fine on simple cuts on most tiles – but become a bit hit and miss once the cut or tile becomes a bit more complicated.

Hire a tile saw for perfect cuts on big tiles.
These great quality saws are used by professional tilers – and are easy to use for a DIY job.
You can hire a cheaper tile saw elsewhere – and some are even the same brand. But many are smaller units with cheaper continuous rim blades that don’t do the job professionals are after. So we invested in larger Tile Saws with high quality blades so you get your job done properly the first time – and not break tiles trying.

Q. The blade is chipping the tiles?

Make sure the angle of the rail is set the same each end (and all bolts are tight).

And what isn’t it designed to cut?

Brick and Pavers – Thicker than 50mm and you should use our brick saw hire. They’re bigger, more powerful and designed for the job.

Specifications

250mm tile saw blade – and we throw away the cheap ones that come with the saw and re-fit with high quality blades.
Motor Size – 1300 watt so plenty of power; but still, give the saw time to cut and don’t force things.
Unit Weight – 72kg so two person lift but it does have wheels so you can move yourself.

A great company to work with. Everyone I spoke to was kind, thoughtful and provided excellent customer service. Dianne Cotter (via Google)

Great prices and thanks for the advice. I was looking and renting a machine. You recommended a cheaper machine to do the same job. It is a welcome surprise for a company to recommend a cheaper product. I am used to companies trying to Up sell you to more expensive option. You have got a Life long customer. We hired a wet tile saw and couldn’t have asked for better service! We hired one from one of the big hire companies the week before and lost so many tiles as it was in need of a service. So glad we found Better Rentals! Charlotte Pickering (via Google)
